Duiker Safaris is still a Uganda-based Tour Operator giving you access to the best of wild encounters in Africa. Please read the Booking Terms and Conditions carefully; as they set out our respective obligations and form the basis of your relationship with us. In these Booking Terms and Conditions, “you” means all persons (clients) named on the booking; and also “we” and “us” means Duiker Safaris.
These Booking Terms will be amended from time to time depending on the prevailing circumstances. The valid Booking Terms will be those prevailing at your booking time. Please note that it is the laws and regulations of the country; in which services are provided which apply to your holiday arrangements and not those of your home country.
Booking Terms: At the time of making a booking a deposit of 30 – 50% of the total amount is due. Bookings are in 60 days before the date of departure. So Duiker Safaris Ltd reserves the right to reject bookings made less than 60 days to the day of departure.
Payment: If the full payment is not made in due time, Duiker Safaris Ltd reserves the right to treat the booking as cancelled.
At the time of booking, you must also confirm acceptance of these terms and conditions; and then pay a deposit of 50% of the price of your holiday; so as to enable us to secure the relevant reservations in advance. However, If we do not receive the written acceptance from you, we always assume that; you have still accepted the Terms and Conditions once you make the deposit.
You then pay the balance in full before the start of the safari. Or you can also pay before coming (21 days prior to your safari date); or also just before the start of the holiday in cash. However, we reserve the right to request full payment at least 30 days before the start of the holiday; if seen necessary.
Having accepted your booking, should it also become necessary to cancel your reservation; 60 days and still more prior to the date of departure for your tour, your deposit only shall be forfeited.

Cancellations made within 45 days of departure date will incur the following charges; (Expressed as a percentage of the Tour and Holiday confirmed price).
In fact, once the Safari Starts, No refunds that are available; in respect of any Tours, Safaris, Accommodation, Hires, Services or also the Inclusions not utilised.
We always endeavour to avoid cancellations of confirmed bookings, but we must reserve the right to do so. We do not always cancel the confirmed holidays less than 40 days before departure; unless you force us of unusual and unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control.
If we cancel your holiday (except where you have failed to make payment or as a result of force majeure); we shall offer you another choice of purchasing an alternative holiday package from us; that will also be of a similar standard to that original one if available.
So if the chosen alternative is less expensive than your original holiday; we shall also refund the difference but if it is more expensive, we shall ask you to pay the difference. Alternatively, you entitle for a full refund of all the money paid to us; But that paid for gorilla permits is only being refund if they refund it back to us. Except where we cancel for reasons other than those mentioned in this clause. We regret we cannot pay any expenses, costs or losses incurred as a result of any cancellation.
In fact, we reserve the right, without prior notice, to terminate the holiday of any person in your party; if, in our opinion or in the opinion of any other person in authority; and also if the persons concerned behave in such a way to cause; dangers, annoyance or distress to any third party or also damage to property. In this situation, the person(s) in concern will require leaving the accommodation or another service immediately. We shall have no further responsibility towards such person(s). No refunds are available and we also don’t pay any expenses or costs of termination.
Therefore, should you or any member of your party be forced to cancel, you must advise us in writing. A cancellation is also not effective until we receive a copy of your written notice. However, to cover our estimated loss caused by the cancellation; and also we are unable to resell your holiday, cancellation fees, excluding insurance, will be levied per person as follows;

Reported complaints immediately to us and to the supplier of the service(s) in question; So as they do their best to resolve any problem. However, If you remain dissatisfied, please call our Safari consultant in Kampala as soon as possible; so as to enable us to investigate and resolve them to your satisfaction. In fact, the liability for any complaints not notified we can not accept it.
Afterwards receiving the payments, then we purchase the permits for gorilla tracking. Getting a gorilla permit is also not a guarantee of seeing a gorilla. Because of the Local conditions, sometimes the access to the Gorillas is impossible at short notice. However, we are not able to accept liability for any circumstance that leads to the cancellation of the gorilla viewings; whether it is still a closure of the National Park, Country borders; or also the absence of the gorillas and also security changes. Refunds are at the discretion of the relevant authority and we cannot accept liability for them. We also use our maximum opportunities to obtain the refunds; also when the refunds are got from the relevant authority; we shall also pass it on to you the client.
It is also advisable that before undertaking a holiday with us; you still have an appropriate insurance for the type of holiday on to take. So such insurance should fully cover death, personal injury, medical expenses; also repatriation in the event of accident or illness or death; also cancellation or curtailment of the holiday by side and loss of, damage to; as well as the theft of the clients’ personal property. Activities with high risking, that is to say, mountaineering, animal tracking on foot, white-water rafting should cover this. Therefore, the Evacuation cover is provided by Duiker Safaris for clients undertaking a full safari package like you.
Jurisdiction
The principal company is also in the Incorporation with the Republic of Uganda; still, it operates under the laws of Uganda.
We also do not own any liability for loss, damage, delay, inconvenience, or direct or consequential loss; however, If the cause is due to our employee’s negligence; in this case our liability is limited (except for death or personal injury); to also a maximum of the full refund of the tour package costs.
We also don’t own or manage the train, ships, vehicles, accommodation and restaurants used; and also we have no liability for loss or damage caused by the proprietors or operators.
You then have to get the warrant showing that you a fit and healthy; so as to participate in the tours and holidays to Uganda or Rwanda. Then Passengers that require medical and physical assistance must be accompanied by a companion. Therefore, our Duiker Safaris Driver/Guide or agents cannot provide this service.
You still the client, on the advancement of a deposit to Duiker Safaris; This Justifies that you have also carefully read and fully understood the contents of the Terms and Conditions; In fact, especially those regarding cancellation and refund policies, limitation of liability, and responsibility borne by trip participants. Therefore, on the advance of a deposit to Duiker Safaris, the depositor, his or her family; and also heirs agree to be bound by the above Terms and Conditions.
