Murchison falls National Park

This National Park is also known as Kabalega National Park and is located on the shores of Lake Albert in Northeast Uganda in Masindi District. It is best known for the Murchison falls where River Nile surges through a narrow gap. It is popularly known for having the most powerful waterfall in the world. Murchison falls National Park harbors a number of wildlife and the major ones are the Hippos, Nile crocodiles and the aquatic birds. However, you will also get a chance to see Elephants, giraffes, buffaloes and many more animals that are usually seen on riverbanks of Murchison falls.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is located in southwestern Uganda on the edge of the Great Rift Valley. It is famously known for harboring over 4000 mountain gorillas. Expect to see baboons, chimpanzees, elephants and antelopes in this park. Birds of over 346 species are also a must see in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Kidepo valley National Park

This lies in the semi-arid valleys between Uganda’s borders with Sudan and Kenya. Accessing Kidepo Valley National Park is very easy. Kibale National Park

It’s located in the western part of Uganda and it takes only a 5hour drive for one to get to this park. Kibale National Park’s ever green vegetation is a great habitat for several wildlife. It is best known for chimpanzee tracking. However you will as well grab yourself a chance to view the red tailed monkeys, blue monkeys, olive baboons, bush babies, black and white colobus and the potto. On rare occasions, you will view duikers, elephants, bush pigs, leopards and buffaloes.

Lake Mburo National Park

This is located conveniently to the highway that connects kampala to the parks of western Uganda and it’s the smallest National in Uganda. Small as it is, Lake Mburo National Park is a home to over 250 bird species, a habitat for zebras, mpala, buffalos, oribi, defassa, waterbuck, leopards, hippos, hyenas, reedbuck and so much more.

Mabira forest

Mabira Forest also known as Griffin falls camp is Uganda’s biggest rainforest with over 300sq.km. It is located in Mukono district, central part of Uganda. Here, you will enjoy bird watching, forest walks.

Kampala city

Kampala is the capital city of Uganda located in the central part of Uganda. It has got a lot of tourist sites that every traveler wishes to put a glance at. Namugongo martyrs’ shrine

Namugongo martyrs shrine is one of the largest Christian pilgrimage destination in Africa. It is located in Namugongo, wakiso district. In 1885-1887, the previous Buganda king, mwanga 11 killed over 22martyrs for disobeying his cultural beliefs for Jesus Christ. They were killed and buried in this place.

Paraa lodge

River Nile

The River Nile is the longest river in the world and it flows over 6,600km (4,100miles). This flows into Lake Victoria (shared by Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania) and empties into the Mediterranean Sea. The source of River Nile is in Jinja-Uganda and it was discovered by Speke, a British Explorer.
